入选标准
- •ASA I and II patients with hip fracture about to undergo surgery under combined spinal epidural block
排除标准
- •Known case of diabetes mellitus, pheochromocytoma, carcinoid tumor etc.
- •H/o pancreatitis, alcoholism, jaundice or liver disorders
- •Contraindications to CSE administration like bleeding disorders, deranged
- •coagulation profile, local site infection, neurological or spinal disease etc.
- •Obesity(BMI >30 kg/m2)
- •Patients at an increased risk of aspiration eg., those with history of gastrooesophageal
- •reflux, gastric outlet/ intestinal obstruction, emergency surgery,
- •pregnant females
- •Patients on continuous steroid therapy for >5 days in the last one year
