Inclusion Criteria

Diabetic type 2 with diagnosis proven by a doctor; of both sexes; with 50-80 years of age; absence of a musculoskeletal condition that impedes the performance of a physical training; considered fit by a physician from the point of view of general health.

Exclusion Criteria

Be a smoker; Possessing some health condition that makes physical training impossible (infectious diseases, musculoskeletal pain that limits autonomy or serious cognitive impairments).Severe health condition which affects the autonomy.

Primary Outcome Measures

An improvement of the cognitive function in the tests of memory attention and executive functions is expected. These improvements would be observed by validated neuropsychological testicles for each of the constructs present in the executive function. From the statistical analysis, accounting and analysis of variance (ANOVA) of two routes (group x time) and also via non- least detectable changes.

It is expected that individuals with mild cognitive impairment will present better results in all the neuropsychological evaluation tests used (memory, attention, executive functions) regarding the effects of physical exercise on cognitive aspects when compared with those with preserved cognition. These improvements would be observed by validated neuropsychological tests for each of the constructs present in the executive functions. From the inferential statistical analysis, the means comparison will be performed through analysis of variance (ANOVA) in two ways x time) and also through a nonparametric test of detectable minimum changes.<br>
