1)Patients having signs and symptoms of Tamaka Shwasa described in Ayurvedic texts such as-
1 Pinasa
2 Gurghuraka
3 Greeva Shirisha Sangruhya
4 Ativativra Vega Shwasa
5 Kanthodhvamsa
6 Asinolabahte Saukhyama
2)symptoms mentioned in modern texts such as-
1wheezing,
2coughing
3shortness of breath
3)Uncomplicated cases of Tamaka Shwasa
4)Patients willing to participate in trial
1)Age below 18 years and above 60 years
2)Pregnant and lactating women
3)Patients having complications like-
1 cor-pulmonale
2 pulmonary TB
3 emphysema
4 pneumonia
5 cystic fibrosis
6 malignancy
7 severe anaemia
8 renal failure
9 congestive cardiac failure.
10 Patients suffering from malignant and accelerated hypertension
11 coronary artery disease
12 uncontrolled diabetes.
4)Patient undergoing regular treatment for any other severe illness and also patient on prolonged corticosteroid use
