- •The study includes the patients who:
- •1. had undergone peripheral intravenous cannulation on upper limbs below the elbow (veins of dorsum of hands and forearm).
- •2. had vein assessment score 1, 2 and 3 (according to Vein Assessment Scale).
- •3. were willing to participate.
排除标准
- •The study excludes the patients who:-
- •1. had undergone central venous cannulation, PICC line and porta cath.
- •2. had vein assessment score 4 and 5.
- •3. had extravasations or previous intra-venous infiltration on cannulation site.
- •4. had skin diseases and bleeding disorders.
- •5. had upper limb amputation.
- •6. were critically sick at the time of data collection.
