1. 18 years of age or older
2. Singleton gestation
3. More than 34 weeks’ gestation
4. Vertex presentation
5. Ruptured membranes
1. Patients on trial for vaginal delivery after cesarean section
2. Fetus with known congenital anomalies
3. Chorioamnionitis
4. Preeclampsia/Hemolysis Elevated Liver Enzymes Low Platelets (HELLP) syndrome
5. Suspected Small for Gestational Age (SGA)/Intra-uterine Growth Restriction (IUGR)
6. Stillbirth
7. Maternal pulmonary disease with O2 saturation in labor < 95%
8. Any condition that precludes ROM or vaginal delivery (placenta praevia)
9. Malpresentation
10. Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) disease
11. Multifetal gestation
12. Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM)
