Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. 18 years of age or older
- •2\. Singleton gestation
- •3\. More than 34 weeks’ gestation
- •4\. Vertex presentation
- •5\. Ruptured membranes
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Patients on trial for vaginal delivery after cesarean section
- •2\. Fetus with known congenital anomalies
- •3\. Chorioamnionitis
- •4\. Preeclampsia/Hemolysis Elevated Liver Enzymes Low Platelets (HELLP) syndrome
- •5\. Suspected Small for Gestational Age (SGA)/Intra\-uterine Growth Restriction (IUGR)
- •6\. Stillbirth
- •7\. Maternal pulmonary disease with O2 saturation in labor \< 95%
- •8\. Any condition that precludes ROM or vaginal delivery (placenta praevia)
- •9\. Malpresentation
- •10\. Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) disease
