The perioperative combination of balloon occlusion followed by embolization of the pelvic artery prior to cesarean hysterectomy is more effective in reducing blood loss than perioperative balloon occlusion alone in the placenta accreta spectrum with no difference in postoperative complications or neonatal outcomes.

Inclusion Criteria

(1) pathologically confirmed placenta accreta spectrum, (2) complete medical records, (3) performed balloon occlusion alone or combined balloon occlusion followed by embolization.
