In this study, titled "effect of upper extremity proprioceptive training on speed, grip strength and functional performance in tennis players", the study aims to explore the impact of proprioceptive exercise program on serve speed, grip strength and functional performance in tennis players aged from 18 to 30 years. During tennis strokes and serves, the shoulder complex joints have an increased stress acting as a bridge that transfers power from the lower limbs and trunk to the playing arm. However, excessive or imbalance changes in one joint can increase the load on subsequent joint and increase the chances of musculoskeletal injuries. Proper proprioceptive and neuromuscular control appear to be crucial for the overhead athlete’s performance. Recognizing this from the review of literature, this study addresses the need to incorporate proprioceptive exercises in routine training. The study has acquired the ethical committee approval letter from the Ethics Committee of Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital Mumbai
The study is quasi experimental study with 40 participants who will take part in 4 weeks program. Participants will undergo assessment for serve speed, grip strength and functional performance before and after the program. The study will analyze its data using SPSS with significant level set at p<0.05 to understand the program’s impact.

入选标准
- •1.Male and Female tennis players, who are practicing and playing tennis for one year.
- •2.Actively participating in tennis for at least 1 hours/day and 3 days/week.
排除标准
- •1.Players with any history of fractures and surgeries within past 1 year.
- •2.History of upper limb injuries in the previous 6 months.
- •3.Any history of Neurologic and Cardiovascular problems.
