Inclusion Criteria

Cardiac patients of either sex undergoing elective cardiac surgeries, cath lab procedures and interventional radiology procedures

Exclusion Criteria

Refusal to give consent, known allergy to local anaesthetics ,pregnancy, anticipated difficult airway, patients with preoperative sore throat, oro-pharyngeal infection, chronic cough, COPD, surgeries in prone position
