Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Patients willing for participation in the study & ready to give written informed consent.
  • Patients between the age group of 18-50 years will be selected for study.
  • Patients irrespective of sex, caste, religion, occupation, economic status and will be selected for the study.
  • Chronicity less than 5 years will be selected.
  • Patients with clinical features of Vyanga as per Ayurvedic classics will be included.[2]
  • Pregnancy & Lactating woman having Vyanga.
  • Von Luschan’s Color Scale ranging from 17 to 30.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Patients with past and present history of any skin diseases e.g. Psoriasis, Dermatitis, Vitiligo etc.
  • Person suffering from any bacterial or fungal infection, viral infection with antibiotics, antifungal and antiviral drugs.
  • Patients with rashes over face and open wound at face.
  • Patients with history of hyperpigmentation since birth like Neavus of Ota, tumours like malignant melanoma, drug induced Pigmentation changes etc
  • Patient suffering with systemic disorders like renal failure, hepatic disorder.
  • Patients with known case of endocrinal disorders like Addison’s disease, Cushing’s disease. Acne, etc.
  • Person with big or dark scars on face.
