Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Born at term by normal vaginal delivery
  • •2\.Birth weight \> 2500 gms
  • •3\.Breast fed infants
  • •4\.Will be in Vellore for the study period
  • •5\.Parents/legal guardians willing for stool collection and blood draws as per protocol
  • •6\.Document antibiotic use in the previous month before typhoid vaccination

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Any congenital abnormality
  • •2\. If they develop any immunological deficiency
  • •3\. Any major known illness that precludes participation in the opinion of the examining physician
