(1) Meeting the above diagnostic criteria in Chinese and Western medicine.
(2) Age between 40 and 80 years.
(3) The patient is conscious, has stable vital signs, presents with increased muscle tone on the paralysed side of the limb, and is assessed on the Ashworth scale as having muscle tone = grade I.
(4) Willing to participate in this trial, able to perform the scale assessment and sign the informed consent form.
(1) Persons with spastic hemiparesis not caused by cerebral infarction.
(2) Persons in critical condition with secondary cerebral herniation and re-infarction.
(3) Those with previous motor dysfunction, such as rheumatoid arthritis, neuromuscular lesions and other conditions that have a direct impact on motor function.
(4) Patients with cognitive dysfunction, or a combination of other serious neurological complications.
(5) Patients with previous or current severe cardiac, hepatic, renal, respiratory, endocrine, immunological, haematological and other systemic diseases, malignant tumours or those with psychiatric disorders.
(6) Patients with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, those with skin disease, eczema or rupture in the abdomen who are not suitable for moxibustion.
