Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •This will be a multi\-center observational study across various centers in India. The patients who are not having history of cardiac illness and undergoing non\-cardiac surgeries from the selected centers would undergo TEE by experienced/qualified echo cardiographers to obtain pre\-fixed loops under standard monitoring. The acquired loops will be stored at a common space without patient or institution details, (iCloud) and measurements of the cardiac structures performed by INVESTIGATORS anonymously
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\) Contra indication to perform TEE (Recent upper GI bleed, Barrettâ??s esophagus, dysphagia, restriction of neck mobility (severe cervical arthritis, atlantoaxial joint disease), symptomatic hiatal hernia, esophageal varices, coagulopathy, thrombocytopenia, active esophagitis and active peptic ulcer disease)
- •2\) History of cardiac illness like Hypertension, DM, history of CCF, Rheumatic heart disease
- •3\) Abnormal preoperative TTE suggesting structural heart disease
- •4\)Patients with incidental abnormality in TEE like patent foramen ovale (PFO), mitral regurgitation or regional wall motion abnormalities (RWMA)
- •5\) Patients with poor TEE images
