Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1) First time ischemic stroke
  • 2) Age 40-65 years
  • 3) Stroke interval before study onset 4-8 weeks
  • 4) Upper limb paresis with no or only slight volitional activity of the wrist and finder extension
  • 5)Initial upper limb Fugal-meyar assessment score(FMA) <18 (0-66)
  • 6) Able to give written informed consent to participate in the study

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1) included other neurological or orthopedic arm impairments,
  • 2) Active cancer, severe obstructive pulmonary disease, shoulder pain refractory to standard therapy, and swollen hand sufficient to prevent closing of the fist
  • 3) Any disorder or disease that may hinder collection of data
