This study includes Patients on mechanical ventilation for 48 hours or more and with clinical suspicion of ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP). Clinical suspicion of VAP is based on the Centers for disease control and prevention (CDC)â??s VAP diagnostic guidelines.
Patients less than 18 years and more than 80 years old.
Patients who are already diagnosed with ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP) or any clinical suspicion of VAP in less than 48 hours of start of mechanical ventilation.
