- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To compare the 30-day mortality among sepsis patients with thrombocytopenia verses those without thrombocytopenia at ICU admissionTimepoint: ICU admission(Day 1) to 30 days
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Hospital length of stayTimepoint: Duration of hospital stay;maximal dose and duration of vasopressor use, need of renal replacement therapy, lowest Pao2/FiO2 ratio, major bleeding episodes and total blood products used, ICU length of stay, mechanical ventilation days, number of patients requiring mechanical ventilationTimepoint: Duration of ICU stay;To analyse the risk factors for onset of thrombocytopenia in sepsis patients on ICU admissionTimepoint: ICU admission( Day 1);To compare the mortality rate among sepsis patients developing thrombocytopenia at Day 1, Day4, and Day10, after ICU admissionTimepoint: ICU admission( Day 1) with Day 4 and Day 10;To determine the incidence of thrombocytopenia in sepsis patients during ICU stayTimepoint: ICU admission( Day 1) to Day 10
