This observational study aims to examine the relationship between performance-based balance test results and quality of life in individuals with Parkinson's disease. It also seeks to determine which balance test best explains quality of life in this population.
Balance and functional performance will be assessed using the Six Spot Step Test, 30-Second Chair Stand Test, Timed Up and Go Test, Four Square Step Test, Berg Balance Scale, and 3-Meter Backward Walk Test. Quality of life will be evaluated using the 39-item Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire (PDQ-39). The findings may help clinicians select appropriate assessment methods and develop rehabilitation programs that address the factors associated with quality of life in individuals with Parkinson's disease.

入选标准
- •Willing to participate in the study and providing written informed consent
- •Having a diagnosis of idiopathic Parkinson's disease
- •Being 20 years of age or older
- •Being classified as stage 1-3 according to the Modified Hoehn and Yahr Scale
- •Being in the "on" medication state and undergoing assessment one hour after taking antiparkinsonian medication
排除标准
- •Being a healthy individual matched for age and sex with a participant diagnosed with Parkinson's disease Willing to participate in the study and providing written informed consent Being 20 years of age or older
研究组 & 干预措施
Parkinson's Disease Group
Individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's disease who underwent assessments of balance, functional performance, fear of falling, disease severity, depressive symptoms, and quality of life. No intervention was administered as part of this observational study.
Healthy Control Group
Age- and sex-matched healthy individuals without a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease who underwent balance and functional performance assessments. No intervention was administered as part of this observational study.

Health-related quality of life in individuals with Parkinson's disease will be assessed using the 39-item Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire (PDQ-39). The PDQ-39 Summary Index ranges from 0 to 100, with higher scores indicating poorer health-related quality of life.
