a.Patients presenting with signs and symptoms of Tamaka Shwasa for equal to and more than one year as described in Ayurvedic texts.
b.Patients presenting with 3 or more of the following symptoms-
1.Pinasa2.Ghurghurak3.Aasya Udhvansa
4. Kantodhvansa5.Vak kricchrata6.Lalat Sweda
7.Parshvagraha8.Ushnabhiprayata9.Aasya Shushkata
10.Vepathu11.Aruchi12.Annadvesh
c.Mild intermittent, mild persistent, moderate persistent asthma according to global initiative for asthma (GINA) guidelines.
d.Blood Oxygen saturation(spO2) >90%.
e.PEFR >100 litre/min.
f.Age 20-60 years.
a.Severe persistent asthma according to global initiative for asthma (GINA) guidelines
b.H/O Tuberculosis, COPD, Emphysema, Other complicated respiratory diseases.
c.Known case of Hypertension and cardiac involvement.
d.PEFR < 100 litre/min.
e.Blood Oxygen saturation (spO2 < 90%)
f.H/O Endocrine disorders like Diabetes mellitus.
g.Patients with frequent H/O hospitalization due to Status Asthmaticus.
