Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Age \> 18â??50 years
  • Cough symptoms for 24 hours or less
  • Willing to give written consent

Exclusion Criteria

  • Age \< 18 years
  • Pregnancy or lactation
  • Symptoms of the cough for more than 24 hours
  • Known immune deficiency
  • Lung disease (include asthma or COPD)
  • Cardiac disease
  • Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain or diarrhoea
  • Illiterate and has difficulties in filling in the diary
  • History of Diabetes Mellitus
  • Current smoker, Smoking history \>10 pack per year
