Study Overview

Brief Summary

The overarching aim is to explore whether the behaviour change programme is effective in increasing physical activity among Chinese children. Intending to following up this work with a future randomised controlled trial (RCT), the subsidiary objective of this early phase study is to determine the feasibility of undertaking the future RCT.

Inclusion Criteria

  • children aged 10 to 12 who are currently studying and residing in Yangzhou, China;
  • participants (including children, parents and physical education teachers) who are willing and able to attend the feasibility study;
  • children who have given verbal assent;
  • parents and physical education teachers who are able to provide written informed consent.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Medical conditions or physical injuries (reported by children, teachers, parents or school doctors) that may prevent children from engaging with the intervention
