A single arm,Open label interventional study to understant the levels of Vitamin D in IBD patients in a tertiary health center of Uttar Pradesh,To evaluate the immunomodulatory effects of Vitamin D in IBD patients,To analyze the anti-inflammatory effects of Vitamin D supplementation in IBD,To investigate the relationship between Vitamin D deficiency and the severity of IBD symptoms and To assess the role of Vitamin D in the clinical management and progression of IBD.

入选标准
- •Patients diagnosed with Crohns disease or ulcerative colitis based on clinical, endoscopic histological or radiological findings Participants aged between 14 and 65 years regardless of disease activity who have been receiving treatment for at least six months Willingness to undergo serum vitamin D level assessment Patients with or without ongoing treatment for IBD Both active disease and remission phases can be included as per validated activity indices Written informed consent to participate in the study Willingness to comply with followup visits and further assessments as per study protocol.
排除标准
- •Patients with chronic illnesses or autoimmune diseases unrelated to IBD Current or recent use of high-dose vitamin D supplements or other medications affecting vitamin D metabolism Patients with primary bone disorders like osteoporosis or osteomalacia not related to IBD.
- •Presence of significant liver disease, renal disease, or cardiovascular conditions that could confound results.
- •Pregnant or lactating women due to altered vitamin D metabolism.
- •Conditions unrelated to IBD that may cause malabsorption (e.g., celiac disease, short bowel syndrome).
- •Patients who have undergone major gastrointestinal surgery in the past 3 months.
- •Patients unable to comply with the study protocol, follow-up visits, or assessments.
- •History of alcohol or substance abuse that could interfere with study participation or data accuracy.
