Inclusion Criteria
IQ>69; sufficient knowledge of German, age 14,0-17,11 years, Nonsuicidal self-injury as one of the reasons or the reason for inpatient admission
Exclusion Criteria
IQ<70; insufficient ability to speak German

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Reduction of nonsuicidal self-injury, measured on <br>a) the FASM (Functional Assessment of self-mutilation) and <br>b) HIDS (How I deal with stress) as well as <br>c) a 10 item semistructured interview.<br><br>In the intervention group the FASM and HIDS will be administered at admission (T1), after interval one (T2) as well as upon completion of the interval program at interval three (T3). The interview will be administed at T2 and T3.<br>In the control group the FASM and HIDS will be administered upon admission (T1) and discharge after inpatient treatment (T2). The interview will take place at T2.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Patient satisfaction with the treatment received will be evaluated on the consumer satisfaction questionnaire, short version (CSQ-8). In addition items on the semistructured interview refer to satisfaction. <br>Data will be collected in the intervention group at T2 and T3, in the control group at T2.
