1) more than 20years old, and
2) patients receiving conventional HD (treatment 4 hours per session, 3 times per week) with a dialysate calcium concentration of 1.5 mmol/L for more than 3 months, and
3) patients gave informed concent.
patients with severe hypocalcemia (corrected Ca < 8.0 mg/dL), intact-PTH > 300 pg/mL, active infection, malignancy, sarcoidosis, previous parathyroidectomy, freqeuently symptomatic intradialytic hypotension, uncontrolled arrhythmia, and previous coronary artery stenting.
