Inclusion Criteria
sedation requirement at leat 48 hours
- fluent in either German or French
- age at least 18 years
Exclusion Criteria
- no contraindication for sedation stop
- absence of tetraplegia
- presence of reduced ability to communicate (eg. bindness, deafness or dementia)

Name Time Method determination of CAM-ICU (Confusion Assessment Method for the Intensive Care Unit) (positive vs. negative), ICDSC (Intensive Care Delirium Scoring Checklist) (positive vs negative) and sedation level (Richmond Agitation/Sedation Score RASS) during sedation stop
