简要总结
- Aims & objectives: To study the role of reflective functioning on epistemic trust among adults diagnosed with depressive disorders To assess the role of reflective functioning on epistemic trust in individuals with depressive disorders. To assess the role of reflective functioning on epistemic trust in healthy adults To examine the difference in reflective functioning and epistemic trust between individuals with depression and healthy adults After registering the study with the Clinical Trial Registry of India, data collection will commence. Recruitment of healthy adults will occur via flyers posted across the MAHE campus—these will include the study’s title, objectives, inclusion criteria, and researcher contact details only those scoring below 20 on the K10 will be eligible for the healthy adult group. Flyers with similar information will also be distributed at the Clinical Psychology and Psychiatry outpatient departments at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, to recruit individuals with depression. Eligible individuals in both groups (i.e., persons with depression identified via OPD and healthy adults with K10 < 20) will then receive detailed study information and be invited to provide informed consent. Upon obtaining written consent, all participants will complete self-report measures including the Certainty about Mental States Questionnaire and the Epistemic Trust, Mistrust, and Credulity Questionnaire with an expected completion time of approximately 30–40 minutes.
