Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Patients scheduled for unilateral open inguinal hernia repair under spinal anaesthesia
  • •2\. American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classes I and II

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. BMI \> 35 kg/m2
  • •2\. Contraindications to or known allergy to local anaesthetics
  • •3\. Coagulopathies
  • •4\. Raised intracranial pressure
  • •5\. Local infection at site of injection
  • •6\. History of heart block, dysrhythmias, neurological diseases
