Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Primigravida and Multigravida
  • •\- Gestational age of 37 completed weeks to 41 weeks
  • •\- Live singleton pregnancy
  • •\- Cephalic presentation
  • •\- In active phase of labour
  • •\- Membranes intact or ruptured ( PROM \<12 hours)

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\- Patients having contraindications for usage of HNBB such as Myasthenia Gravis, Narrow angle glaucoma
  • •\- Multiple pregnancies
  • •\- conditions where there are Previous Uterine scars
  • •\- Malpresentation
  • •\- Cephalo pelvic dispropotion
  • •\- Antepartum hemorrhage
  • •\- Medical disorders complicating pregnancies such as severe anemia, cardiac diseases, hypertensive disorders
