Inclusion Criteria

Patients scheduled to undergo elective MSICS, above the age of 40 years, who give informed consent

Exclusion Criteria

1. Complicated cataract

2. Presence of corneal opacities

3. Any eye not dilating to at least 6 mm preoperatively

4. Patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the component medications used

for anaesthesia
