Both male and female over 30 years of age with diagnosed IDDM or NIDDM, presenting with ulcer on lower extremity for more than 1 week. The patients during the study will be allowed to take allopathic medicaton on which they are dependent. (in consultation with endocrinologist). Gradually the dose will be tapered or withdrawn in consultation with him depending on level of Blood Sugar. If patient is suffering from high fever, antipyretics may be given. In case of severe pain, pain killers can be given,SOS , when homoeopathic medicine fails. (Patient may continue with his anihypertensives, antilipids in consultation with the endocrinologist).
?Subjects with ill managed diabetes i.e. glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) more than 8%;
?Cases presenting with gangrene or impending gangrene (manifest in sudden black discoloration of skin);
?Ulcers with underlying osteomyelitis;
?Venous ulcers or ulcers due to any other cause;
?Cases presenting with long term complication of diabetes such as severe retinopathy, severe renal involvement or with history of recurrent acute complications like hypoglycemia, ketoacidosis, polyneuropathy etc;
?Patient requiring intravenous antibiotics, emergency management or surgical intervention;
?People suffering from life-threatening or chronic diseases like Ischemic heart disease of less than 6 months duration, or unstable angina, Hypertension, Malignancy, HIV/AIDS etc, and
?H/o diabetic coma.
