Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\) ASA 1\-2
- •2\) Age older than 18 years
- •3\) Patients undergoing elective, unilateral total hip arthroplasty under spinal anaesthesia.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\) Patient does not consent to the study.
- •2\) Patient inability to communicate/operate PCA pump.
- •3\) Contraindication to regional anaesthetic procedure e.g. local inection in the administration site, coagulopathy, raised ICP or a history of PDPH.
- •4\) Allergy to drugs used in the study.
- •5\) Liver failure or renal insufficiency.
- •6\) Analgesic dependence.
- •7\) Cognitive impairment.
