Brief Summary

**Objectives of the Study****:**

To assess the efficacy of Unani personalized programme in the prevention of non-communicable diseases specifically cardiovascular diseases and Diabetes Mellitus-type 2.Unani personalized programme was more effective in reducing body weight,waist circumference and blood pressure at 60th day as compared to standard control drugs.

Inclusion Criteria

Patients with three or more of the following features-3 1 Central obesity waist circumference > 90 cm in Male, >80 cm in Female 2 Hypertriglyceridemia; triglycerides ≥ 150 mg/dl 3 Low HDL cholesterol<40 mg/dl in males and <50 mg/dl in females 4 BP ≥130/ 85 mmHg 5 Fasting plasma glucose ≥ 100mg/dl.

Exclusion Criteria

1 All types of heart, liver and kidney diseases 2 Pregnancy 3 Lactation 4 Type-1 Diabetes 5 Weight loss medication 6 Uncontrolled Diabetes type 2 and uncontrolled Hypertension.
