研究概览

简要总结

Osteoarthritis is the most common cause of disability in the older population.It is due to the wear of the cartilage. Direct infiltrate of Platelet rich plasma in the normal or near normal cartilage should trigger cartilage regeneration leading to filling up of the cartilage defect/improving the quality of remaining cartilage.Proximal fibular osteotomy should deload the medial compartment and further assist the prevention of cartilage regeneration by indirect prevention.

入选标准

  • 1- Patients OA knee.
  • Grade II and III 2- Radiological evidence of medial compartment involvement. 3- Primary OA knee patients. 4- Patients who are willing to take part in study after informed consent.

排除标准

  • 1-Post traumatic knee stifness 2-History of infective joint disease.
  • 3-Patients with history of previous surgeries of knee.
  • 4-Co-morbid/pathology of ipsilateral hip/foot joint pathology 5-Any other defect of ipsilateral limb like shortening etc.

Biomechanical correction with biologics (PRP) can lead to cartilage regeneration

时间窗: at 0 , 3 , 12 , 24 weeks and 9 months

次要结局

  • Correction of varus deformity(Correction of varus deformity at 0, 6 , 12 , 24 weeks and 6 and 9 months)
