Brief Summary

Plantar fasciitis accountsfor about 10-15% of all foot symptomsrequiring professional care. Plantar fasciitisis a commonly encountered poorly understood orthopedic complaint related to foot, associated with significant morbidity, requiring professional care., A significant number of patients havingplantar fasciitis visit NIA Hospital daily. Even after adequate management,recurrences are common. As far as contemporary science is concerned till dateno single remedy is available that can provide permanent relief. This study isproposed with a view to explore a better treatment modality to provide safe, effective,economic and long-lasting relief to the patient.

AIM  To evaluate and compare the efficacy of Agnikarma with Tamra Shalaka and local injection of Autologous whole blood in the management of Padakantaka (Plantar Fasciitis).

OBJECTIVES To evaluate the acceptability and tolerability of Agnikarma with Tamra Shalaka andAutologous whole blood injection in the patients of Padakantaka (Plantar Fasciitis)

Null Hypothesis (H0) – There is no difference between effect of Agnikarma with Tamra Shalaka and Autologous whole blood injection in the management of Padakantaka with special reference to Plantar Fasciitis

Inclusion Criteria
  • 1 Age 30 to 60 years of either sex .religion etc.
  • 2 Patients presenting with the clinical feature of Padkantaka.
Exclusion Criteria
  • A Patients having open surgical procedure of plantar fascia B Patients having fracture of calcaneum ,traumatic pain C Patients having malignancy of plantar region D Patients having anatomical defect and congenital structural defect of plantar region.
  • E Patients having systemic ailments like diabetes mellitus ,hypertension and feature of peripheral neuropathy etc.
