Children of 2-16 years age of either sex.Mild and moderate case of Anaemia according to WHO criteria.Peripheral blood smear- hypochromic, microcyctic cells.Serum Iron <59 microgram/dL and TIBC >450 microgram/dL.Children having classical symptoms of Pandu Roga/Iron Deficiency Anaemia.
Children of below 2 years and above 16 years age of either sex.
Children diagnosed with Haemoglobinopathies especially Thalassemia, Sickle cell anaemia.
Children with conditions causing chronic blood loss like worm infestation, piles, anal polyps, haemophilia.
Children with congenital disorders and chronic debilitating diseases.
Children diagnosed with any other type of Anaemia other than IDA.
Anaemia associated with any other systemic illness i.e Malaria, Acute & chronic diarrhoea.
