Inclusion Criteria

- candidate for living donor kidney transplantation
- minimun age 18 years
- minumum of 10 weeks prior to transplantation
- abble to walk 50 meters without help
- good understandig of the dutch language

Exclusion Criteria

- co-morbidities (e.g. amputation) that make exercise training impossible
- high cardiovascular risk profile
