People suffering from skin picking, aged 18 to 55. Skin picking should result in significant impairment regarding working, managing the household or interacting with other people during the past four weeks. Total score on mSPS-D > 7 (cutoff).
Participants should have the technical resources needed for the online-diary and online self-help program.
Current substance abuse or addiction (apart from nicotine), current psychotic or bipolar disorder; suicidality, current psychotherapeutic treatment for skin picking.

Name Time Method Before the participants start with the online-selfhelp program and when they begin with the last chapter (chapter 10; approximatley 6-8 weeks after they started), participants keep a diary of their picking behavior with five entries per day at a fixed schedule (for two weeks before they start the online-selfhelp programm, one week at the beginning of the last chapter). At the beginning of the study, before starting with chapter 1, after chapter 5, 9 and 10, the following questionnaires are being completed via an online-survey:<br>Skin Picking Scale, modified german version (mSPS-D; Mehrmann, Hunger, & Ger-lach, submitted for publication) Skin Picking Impact Scale, german version (SPIS-D shortform; Mehrmann, Hunger, & Gerlach, submitted for publication)<br>
