Age between 18 and 65 years
Diagnosis of alcohol addiction according to ICD 10
Sufficient ability to communicate with the respective study employee, answer questions or process questionnaires
Ability to consent after fully written consent (fully informed consent)
Written Informed Consent (written consent)
Ability to perform functional magnetic resonance imaging
An ICD-10 Axis-I disorder other than alcohol / nicotine addiction or nicotine abuseno
Current psychotropic medication
Current drug abuse other than nicotine (urine drug screening)
Disorder of glucose metabolism (diabetes mellitus I or II)
Allergy to bitter almond Aroma
Allergy to sodium cyclamate
Contraindication against functional magnetic resonance imaging (pregnancy, claustrophobia, implants / metal parts (pacemaker, piercings, braces, spiral) Tattoo / permanent make-up, therapeutic patch (nicotine patch), artificial lenses, epileptic disease)
