Inclusion Criteria
- •Written consent
- •Minimum age of 18 years
- •Sonographic evidence of soft tissue oedema and/or incipient calcification of the muscles surrounding the joint
- •Diagnosis verified by means of a CT or MRI scan of the pelvis
Exclusion Criteria
- •Refusal to conduct the study
- •Increased tendency to bleed
- •The area of the puncture site must not show any skin irritation
- •Ventilated patients
