Inclusion Criteria
Women between 18 and 60 years old, enrolled previously in a household survey, who presented score equal to or higher than 8 in the AUDIT (high risk alcohol use)
Exclusion Criteria
Women with evident cognitive impairment

Name Time Method Women´s alcohol consumption, measured with AUDIT (Alcohol use disorders identification test), which was assessed at baseline and after three months

Name Time Method Physical and Mental Health, measured using a general health questionnaire and the CES-D (Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale – used to measure depressive symptoms); Patterns of domestic violence, measured using the CTS2 (Revised Conflict Tactics Scales) and the CTSPC (Parent-Child Conflict Tactics Scales), both used to obtain information on partner violence and violence between parents and children, respectively.
