This study shall compare the diameter of the optic nerve sheath (a nerve in the eye) with CT Scan of the head in adult patients with head injury for assessment of raised pressures in the head (intracranial hypertension).

Inclusion Criteria
all patients of more than 18 years of age admitted to hospital with traumatic head injury
Exclusion Criteria
Patientâ??s or guardianâ??s refusal to consent
Patients of age less than 18 years
Patients with significant ocular trauma, ophthalmic diseases or pre-existing optic nerve pathology
Patients who have undergone surgical intervention for head trauma
