- •Willing to participate in the study
- •More than 18 years of age
- •Having oral malodor above a questionable level (OLT ââ?°Â¥ 1.5)
- •Not currently visiting a dentist for treatment
- •Having one or more 3- to 6-mm periodontal pocket depth (PPD) that bleed on probing (BOP)
- •Having no daily smoking habit
- •Having no adverse reactions to lactose or fermented milk products.
- •Not using antibiotics within 3 months

- •Having acute symptoms requiring immediate oral cavity treatment
- •Wearing prostheses
- •Using probiotic supplements
- •Having systemic illness
