All patients referred for elective abdominopelvic CT examination over the study period.

1. Patients referred for CT of the oesophagus,stomach and pancreas (national guidelines suggest they should have oral water anyway)
2. Trauma patients referred from A/E: We use water anyway as using gastrograffin is more time consuming, hides mucosal detail, poor transit due to ileus, interferes with intervention etc
3. Specialist CT examination like CT Angiography, CT Enterography, CT Cholangiography, CT Colonography and CT Urography as positive contrast interferes with reconstructions.
4. Patients with acute abdomen - mucosal information is paramount - hence water used anyway
5. Children - water is usual preferred agent anyway
