简要总结
Post spinal anaesthesia shivering is a common complication encountered during surgeries performed under spinal anaesthesia, particularly in urological procedures.
This study aims to compare the effectiveness of intrathecal dexmedetomidine and intrathecal magnesium sulfate as adjuvants to hyperbaric bupivacaine in preventing post spinal anaesthesia shivering.
Dexmedetomidine is an alpha 2 adrenergic agonist, is known to reduce the thermoregulatory shivering threshold and provide mild sedation, while magnesium sulfate acts as an NMDA receptor antagonist and modulates thermoregulation.
