Inclusion Criteria

All children presented with stage II complicated pleural effusion/ empyema with age range of 6 months to 15 years, that fails to resolve by simple drainage by chest tube thoracotomy over 24 hours of admission.

Exclusion Criteria

Children having
1.Disseminated intravascular coagulation.
2.Volume overload.
3.Allergic/ hypersensitivity to streptokinase
4.Consent withdrawal.
