Inclusion Criteria

(1) Implementation of regenerative procedures for the therapy of intraalveolar bone defects at the department for periodontology at the center of dentistry and oral health (Carolinum) of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt since 2004
(2) written informed consent

Exclusion Criteria

(1) missing written informed consent
(2) Underlying disease or condition (e.g. heart valve replacement) that require antibiotic prophylaxis for measures that trigger transient bacteraemia (e.g. assessment of pocket probing depths and attachment levels)
