Patients with age group 18 or above 18 with chronic painful TMD with multiple or unknown causes involving either unilateral or bilateral TMJ for at least 3 months history of pain according to DC-TMD Criteria 2015 and not having pharmacological treatment for TMD and any form of analgesic for any pain for at least past 1 weeks.
1) Systemic disease which could affect TMJ or cervical joints, e. g. rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthrosis, osteoporosis, diabetes,
2) Pain attributed to recent trauma
3) patients who have been treated with TENS previously without any improvement in the condition
4) people with contraindications to administration of TENS (e.g. people with pacemakers, and other electronic devices. neuro-physiological disorders (like epilepsy), pregnant women), Psychiatry disorders
