Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • All adult patients with the diagnoses of heamorrhoids, fissure in ano, fistula in ano and perianal abscess, admitted under the General Surgery department in SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre.
  • Patients who consent to participate in the study.
  • Patients who are fit for spinal anaesthesia

Exclusion Criteria

  • Patients who are \<18 years of age.
  • Patients who do not consent to participate in the study.
  • Patients who are deemed not fit for spinal anaesthesia
  • Patients with drug allergy to local anaesthetic agent
  • Patients with local dermatological problems
  • Patients with known renal disease shall be excluded from the study
