Background:
Heart failure (hf) is a chronic, progressive clinical syndrome and a major global public health problem, affecting an estimated 55–64 million people worldwide. It is associated with high rates of hospitalization, reduced quality of life, and substantial mortality, with nearly 50% of patients dying within five years of diagnosis. The burden of heart failure is rapidly increasing due to population ageing, improved survival after acute cardiac events, and rising prevalence of risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, obesity, and ischemic heart disease.
Purpose of the study
Primary purpose**-**
1.To find the prevalence of cardio-hepatic syndrome among patients with heart failure seeking treatment at heart failure clinic, aiims, new delhi.
Secondarypurpose-
1. To determine the factors associated with cardio-hepatic syndrome among patients with heart failure seeking treatment at heart failure clinic, aiims, new delhi.
2. To develop a standard operating procedure for nursing care of patients with cardio hepatic syndrome based on evidence generated through study findings.

- •Who underwent liver function test recently (with in three months) Willing to participate in the study.
- •Can understand hindi or english.

- •Patients with heart failure who are hemodynamically unstable.
- •Patients with heart failure who are admitted to the in patient department.
