Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\)Patients from 4\-12 years of age
- •2\)Patients where the duration of admission \>/ 4 days
- •3\)Informed consent obtained from parents or legal guardians.
- •4\)Patients who have been admitted to the PICU who are undergoing general or surgical treatment
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\)Subjects with a communicable disease
- •2\)Patients who were admitted \<4 days.
- •3\)Parents who did not give consent.
- •4\)Patients who can maintain their oral hygiene.
- •5\)Patients who acquired pneumonia on admission to the PICU
