Patients:
COPD, aged between 40-85 years, referral for assessment in CIRO+, clinically stable
Controls:
aged between 20-85 years
Neuromuscular co-morbidities, subjects who are unable to walk without walking aids, subjects with open wound, medical history of asthma, lung cancer, sarcoidosis, tuberculosis, lung fibrosis, or any other significant respiratory disease; having undergone lung surgery, or history of orthopaedic ailments which could affect the walking pattern.
Controls: any significant respiratory disease or chronic heart failure.
